We support individuals and families in our community by providing groceries, everyday essentials, and most importantly, a sense of connection and care.
The Good Neighbour Ministry at South Vancouver Pacific Grace MB Church aims to demonstrate Jesus’ love and grace by providing grocery support to families in our neighbourhood. Families who are encountering hardships are welcome to apply and receive support by picking up groceries twice a month to help lessen the day-to-day pressures.
The ministry was launched in October 2025.
Registered families are invited to pick up grocery support twice a month (2nd and 4th Sundays).
Currently, our program is by referral only.
Eligibility Guidelines
Families encountering hardship are welcome to apply via referral through Edmonds Community School, South Vancouver Neighbourhood House, Vancouver School Coordinators and Ministry Workers or Pastors at the South Vancouver Pacific Grace MB Church.
Priority for support will be given to adults supporting dependents.
An adult who is receiving support for their family must be available to pick up at the South Vancouver location on the 2nd and 4th Sundays between 2:30-4:00pm.
All applications will be reviewed by the Good Neighbour Ministry core committee prior to approval.
Applications will be approved based on current funding available and information provided in their application.
Applicants will be contacted directly should their applications be approved.
Applicants will receive support for 4 months. Should more assistance be required, applicants are able to reapply for support through the referral agency.
